Police bust dacoity gang, nab gangster, mastermind from UP, Uttarakhand

CHIKKABALLAPUR: In a major operation, the Chikkaballapur police have arrested two main accused in a dacoity case from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi.

Following a dacoity at an Assistant Sub-Inspector’s house in Peresandra on November 9, the police launched an operation to nab the dacoits and after 12 days, managed to arrest gangster Hyder Ali (26) and the mastermind Veerendra Singh, who is a former BSF jawan.

While Hyder Ali was picked up from UP, Veerendra Singh was arrested from Uttarakhand. They were wanted in three dacoity cases in Kolar, Bengaluru Rural and Vijayapura.

The police have so far arrested five people including Hyder Ali, Veerendra Singh, Arif, Jamshed Khan and Pathan Mohammed Haris. and recovered Rs 16,41,000 in cash, three country-made revolvers, 46 rounds of ammunition, and a mangalsutra weighing 70 gm.
