BENGALURU: Two people, including a retired sub-inspector and his son, were arrested for assaulting his nephew over a rent issue at Chikkabidirukallu in Bengaluru North taluk. The incident was reported within the jurisdiction of Madanayakanahalli police limits.
The incident, captured on CCTV, shows the assailants wielding a stick and attacking the vict-m in the middle of the road. The matter was recorded as a murder related case and a case was registered.
The accused are a retired sub‑inspector and his son Vishwas, who allegedly carried out the assault with a stick. The Madanayakanahalli police have taken both into custody and sent them to jail.
Vivek (35), the assault victim, was involved in a dispute over the rent of a three‑storey building. After being struck with a stick, Vivek lost consciousness and was treated in the ICU of a hospital. He is now recuperating at home.
