TUMAKURU: The police have arrested a man who brutally murdered another and stole 30 goats in Pavagada taluk of Tumakuru district. The accused has been identified as Manikanta.
The accused had hacked and murdered Narasimhappa (60) with a machete in the forest area of Devalakere village in Pavagada taluk. The goats were later found at a market in Hiriyur, Chitradurga. The accused had attempted to sell the stolen goats.
The police investigation revealed that the accused had committed the murder for the goats. The accused was caught by the victim’s son and handed over to the police.
