BENGALURU: A day after changing the schedule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow in Bengaluru, the BJP on Friday yet again revised it following concerns expressed by citizens over blocking of roads and the NEET exams on Sunday.

As per the revised schedule, Saturday’s plan has been shifted to Sunday and vice-versa. On Saturday, the roadshow will be held between 10 am 12.30 pm starting from Brigade Millenium in JP Nagar and culminating at Circle Maramma temple in Malleswaram. On Sunday, the roadshow will be between 10 am and 11.30 am from Suranjan Das Circle to Trinity Circle and the distance has been reduced by 4 km. The changes were made on the directions of the Prime Minister, the party said.

In an Instagram post, Bangalore South MP Tejasvi Surya wrote, “On account of NEET exams on 7th of May, Ho. PM Sri @naendramodi Ji directed us to prepone the 26 km road show to the 6th of May and shorted the roadshow distance on the 7th of May to conclude it before 1130 am. His one line directive was — ‘I don’t want even a single medical student in Bengaluru to be inconvenienced’.

Meanwhile, NEET aspirants and parents have expressed apprehension as the police have announced that major roads will be closed from 8 am to 3 pm on Sunday. A total of 20 lakh students have registered for the test across the country with thousands of them in Bengaluru. Most of the exam centres are in Bengalur South and Central parts.
