MANDYA: A pickup truck illegally carrying beef overturned near Nidaghatta in Maddur taluk on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway on Saturday.
The pickup truck was on its way towards Bengaluru when the driver lost control and it overturned. The cow meat, being transported illegally, fell on to the road.
The Maddur police, who visited the spot, investigating where the beef was being transported to. Hindu Jagruti Vedike state leader Yoganand, who also visited the spot, has demanded action against all those involved.
