BENGALURU: A scuffle broke out between senior citizens over a dog urinating in a designated walking area in Brigade Utopia apartment in Varthur. Both parties have accused each other of aggression and approached the police.
The pet owner Tarun Arora was walking his dog when it urinated in the area, prompting a citizen to question why he brought the dog there. The situation escalated, and around 7-8 senior citizens allegedly attacked Tarun, kicking and hitting him. A woman who intervened to break up the fight was also allegedly assaulted by Tarun.
Tarun filed a complaint with Varthur police, alleging the senior citizens attacked him. However, the woman lodged a counter-complaint alleging that Tarun attacked them when they questioned him about the dog’s actions. She claimed that Tarun threatened them, saying “I’ll show you” and “You won’t be spared”, and alleged they fear for their lives and sought protection.
