BENGALURU: Pejawar Math seer Vishwa Prasanna Swamiji speaking in Ayodhya, has expressed displeasure over the use of ghee mixed with animal fat in the Tirupati laddu prasadam, a sacred offering, terming it very painful.
He said that instead of using cow ghee, they have mixed animal fat, whis is unacceptable. “The prasadam contains fish oil, pork fat, and and fat. This is a huge insult to Hindu society and an affront to the gods. The government’s involvement in this act is condemnable”, the seer said.
He referenced the legend of Lord Srinivasa, the deity of Tirupati, who is known for protecting cows. “Lord Srinivasa protected the cow from harm; yet, they offered prasadam to the Lord made with cow fat. This is a grave offense. It is nothing but violence against Hindu society”, the Pejawar seer said.
“The government must investigate and identify those responsible for producing this unacceptable fat mixture. Such ghee is not used even at home. They have used contaminated ghee for the temple”, he said. It is the duty of the government to find and investigate such ghee-making hubs, Pejawar Swamiji stressed.
“Hindu religious centers should not be under government control; they should be managed by Hindu organisations, as per the Supreme Court’s verdict. Free temples from government control and hand over Tirupati’s management to a Hindu institution. Ensure such incidents do not recur in future”, the swamiji demanded
