The car was parked under a shelter when it caught fire.

RAICHUR: A parked car was charred after it caught fire, even as it was raining, under a shelter near the main entrance of the Hutti Gold Mines on Thursday night. The car belonged to Anil, an employee of the public sector firm.

The car owner was on the night shift when the incident occurred. Locals tried to put out the fire by dousing it with water, but did not succeed. The Hutti police have registered a case.
