Pakistani girl arrested in Bengaluru refuses to leave Indian husband

BENGALURU: The city police have planned to deport a Pakistani girl who had illegally entered the country, but she has refused to leave her Indian  husband.

Earlier, the city police had arrested a man and his Pakistani girlfriend after he illegally married her and forged her identity to live in the city. The accused had been identified as Mulayam Singh Yadav (26), a resident of Uttar Pradesh, and his Pakistani girlfriend Iqra Jeewani (19).

During questioning, Iqra Jeewani claimed she left her country, Pakistan, for love and married Mulayam Singh Yadav. But Indian law does not allow her to stay in the country illegally and the police and FRRO officials have started the process to deport her.

The FRRO officials have contacted the central agencies concerned and they have said it will at least take two months to deport her. The police and FRRO officials are checking the legal process required to deport her.

Meanwhile, police investigation has revealed that there is no official document or photo of their marriage. The police are conducting investigations from all angles and gathering more information.
