Over 50 children rescued from begging hotspots in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police on Thursday conducted raids at several locations in the city where trafficked children were pushed into begging and rescued over 50 of them.

The police conducted raids at traffic signals in Frazer Town, Koramangala, KG Halli and other places where children from poor families were forcibly pushed into begging.

The police have arrested the traffickers and produced the rescued children before the child welfare committee (CWC).
