SHIVAMOGGA: About 20 passengers, including schoolchildren, were injured after a private bus crashed into a ditch after the driver lost control near the Bommanakatte railway gate near on Wednesday.
The bus was plying from Bommanakatte to Gopala when the incident occurred. Locals immediately rushed to the rescue of the bus passengers. The bus first hit an electricity police, crashed against a fence and then overturned, locals said.
The injured were shifted to the McGann hospital for treatment. The Vinoba Nagar police visited the spot and have registered a case.
