DAVANAGERE: More than 20 people were injured after a private bus they were travelling in overturned on a bridge on Betura Road near Davanagere on Monday morning. However, all the passengers are safe.
The bus, which was heading to Jagalur from Davanagere, hit the parapet wall of a bridge on Betura Road after the driver lost control, and overturned. While some of the bus passengers got out of the broken front windshield, some others made their way out of the windows.
Locals rushed to the rescue of the passengers and shifted them to the district hospital.
