HAVERI: More than 15 passengers sustained injuries after a private bus overturned on National Highway-48 near Varadahalli in the taluk early on Wednesday morning. The accident occurred after the driver lost control, police said.
All the injured were shifted to the district hospital in two ambulances. It is said that the driver lost control after he dozed off. The bus, which was moving on the highway, toppled on to the service road.
Luckily, there was no loss of life. The bus was on its way to Goa from Bengaluru. On receiving information, the Haveri Rural police visited the spot and registered a case.
