PATNA (Bihar): After the INDIA bloc Coordination Committee held a meeting on Wednesday, Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan said that it is most important for the Opposition to clear their stance on Sanatana Dharma.
He also inquired whether the ‘Sanatana Dharma’ issue was also discussed by the INDIA bloc Coordination Committee.
“The opposition can do whatever they want to, but first, they must at least make their policies & intentions clear. Did the coordination committee also discuss the Sanatana Dharma (remark) that sparked controversy? Did they discuss in the meeting how to oppose the Sanatana? If they want the support of the public they will have to tell the public, what they can do for them and most important for them is to clear their stance on Sanatana Dharma,” Chirag Paswan told ANI.
Meanwhile, DMK MP TR Baalu said that the alliance comprising over two dozen opposition parties has decided to hold their first joint public rally in Bhopal in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh in the first week of October.
“We have decided to go for seat-sharing arrangements and discussions at various states. The states where assembly elections are going to be held immediately will be given priority. The first rally will be held in Bhopal in the first week of October,” Baalu said.
Moreover, in the meeting, a discussion was also held on the controversy regarding Sanatan Dharma. Stalin’s letter was being discussed and it was decided that all the parties would take the same line, sources said on Wednesday.
