TUMAKURU: A man died after the car he was driving overturned in an attempt to avoid a stray dog near Kanivenahalli Gate in Pavagada taluk on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Gopal (45), a resident of Kunte village.
Another person, Narasimhamurthy, who was traveling with Gopal, narrowly escaped death. The incident happened when the car was on its way from Pavagada to Rekalakunte in Andhra Pradesh.
The driver lost control after hitting the dog, causing the car to overturn. The Pavagada police visited the spot and are investigating the incident after registering a case.
