YADAGIRI: One person died and many other passengers were injured after a private bus overturned near Kavadimatti village in Surpur taluk on Sunday morning.
The private bus, with 30 passengers, was travelling from Bengaluru to Humnabad via Surpur. Due to overspeeding, the driver lost control at a turn near Kavadimatti village and the bus overturned.
On hearing about the incident, the villagers rushed to the spot and pulled out the passengers trapped in the bus. They were admitted to Surpur hospital for the treatment. Many passengers have sustained serious injuries and their condition is critical. Surpur police visited the spot and removed the bus with the help of a crane.
