CHIKKABALLAPUR: One person died and four others were injured after the car they were travelling in overturned near Kattihosahalli in Doddaballapur early on Monday. The deceased was identified as Mohammed Younis and it is suspected that the driver may have dozed off behind the wheel leading to the accident.
The car was coming from Dobbspet towards Devahanalli. All the five occupants sustained injuries and were rushed to a hospital where Younis died without responding to treatment. While Kishore and Yatish are being treated in a hospital, Chetan and Vishal sustained minor injuries and are out of danger.
The group had gone to Dharwad from Devanahalli for a friend’s marriage and was returning when the accident occurred. The incident occurred under Doddabelavangala police limits.
