DAVANAGERE: One person died while eight others were injured, one of them seriously, when a speeding car crashed into three motorcycles parked by the side of the road near Donihalli in Channagiri taluk on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Sandesh Naik (19) while the seriously injured is Anjaneya Naik (25).
Nine people on three motorcycle were returning from a temple and had stopped near Donihalli as two of them had to relieve themselves. In the meantime, a car (KA 17 MB 2573) coming from Davanagere lost control and crashed into the motorcycles.
While one person died, another was seriously injured while two other suffered fractures in the leg. Five others sustained minor injuries. All the nne were from different thandas in Channagiri taluk. The Channagiri police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
