BENGALURU: The HSR Layout police have arrested a man or the sexual harassment of a young woman while giving her a lift on his two-wheeler. The accused Mukeshwaran, who hails from Tamil Nadu, was absconding after committing the crime.
The accused was residing in Chandrappanagar in Adugodi. He was arrested based on CCTV footage of his two-wheeler and is currently being questioned by the police.
Deputy Commissioner Of Police Sara Fatima, briefing the attempted rape case, said preliminary information revealed that the accused is a dance choreographer who was under the influence of alcohol on that day. The victim sought a lift as her car met with an accident. The incident occurred when she was returning home with a friend’s car.
The victim is the daughter of an army officer, and now she is doing well. Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Dayanand visited the HSR Layout police station and gathered information about the incident.
