RAMANAGARA: An official at the taluk office with the election branch in Kanakapura, committed suicide alleging harassment by his higher-up. The police have since registered an FIR against shirastedar Poornima.
The deceased official was identified as Suresh. A death note found on him alleged mental harassment by his senior. His wife too has lodged a complaint alleging that he was being pressured and harassed. She also claimed that he was issued a notice threatening that he would be sacked.
Based on the complaint and the death noted, the Kanakapura Town police have registered a case and taken up investigation against the shirastedar.
