LOS ANGELES: Social media has been flooded with clips from the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, and one video that has gone incredibly viral is bringing a wave of nostalgia to fans. The moment in question features Selena Gomez making a special guest appearance on the episode.
Both Selena and Miley Cyrus dominated Disney in the early 2000s with their iconic shows, Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana, respectively. During the special episode, Miley and Selena bonded over the good old days, reminiscing about their time on Disney Channel and how their friendship grew during that period.
“I love you, girl! You are the best,” Gomez told Miley on the episode. Reflecting on their friendship, Miley said, “It’s really sweet to know somebody for 20 years. That means I have known you for almost 20 years.” Their reunion was marked by nostalgic conversations, warm smiles, and heartfelt hugs.

In 2007, Gomez had a recurring role on the show as a pop star named Mikayla, who feuds with Hannah Montana. On Monday, the OG cast of the popular Disney show reunited at the world premiere of Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special. Miley was all smiles as she posed for the shutterbugs.
For the special night, she donned a sparkling silver gown with a white t-shirt that featured a picture of her Hannah Montana character, an ode to the iconic show and her journey. She was joined on the carpet by the show’s original cast members, including Jason Earles, Moises Arias, Cody Linley, Anna Maria, Perez de Tagle and Shanica Knowles.
‘Hannah Montana’ was originally premiered in 2006 and ran across four seasons until 2011. The show received much love from the audience, becoming a fan favourite among the kids and teenagers.
It even won four Emmy nominations for Outstanding Children’s Program.’Hannah Montana’ followed the tale of Miley Stewart – a teenager from Malibu, California, who doubles as the famous pop singer Hannah Montana. The show even spawned a film titled ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie’, which came out in theatres in April 2009. (ANI)
