No respite from sweltering heat, temperature to rise over next week in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: There seems to be no respite for the city which has been reeling under heat wave-like conditions for about a month now. The weather department has now warned that the maximum temperature will rise further over the next one week.

Since the last week of March, temperatures have been on the rise and, over the last one week, the mercury level has been hovering around 37 degrees Celsius. On Friday, some localities in Bengaluru also reported very warm breeze.

People are choosing fruits and juices to keep themselves hydrated.

Now, the weather department has cautioned that the maximum temperature will rise by one to two degrees Celsius over the next one week.

As per the Met department data, the maximum temperature in Bengaluru on April 21 was 37.4 degrees Celsius, on April 22 37.2 deg C, April 23 37.6 deg C, April 24 37.6 deg C, April 25 37.4 deg C and on April 26, it was 37.4 degrees Celsius.
