Nihangs attack cops with swords for stopping them from popping wheelies

A group of 20-30 people attacked police for stopping from the wheeling on road.

BIDAR: A group of 20-30 Nihang Sikhs assaulted policemen with swords for questioning them about popping wheelies on motorcycles near Ambedkar Circle in Bidar city on Wednesday.

The group attacked Deputy Superintendent of Police Satish, Traffic CPI Vijay Kumar and some other policemen for stopping them from performing wheelies. A policeman was seriously injured in the incident. The police resorted to mild lathi-charge at the group to bring the situation under control.

The police managed th convince the crowd of over 50–60 Sikhs to disperse from spot and warned them against popping wheelies on the road. A few of them, who had assaulted the police, were taken to the Market police station.
