BENGALURU: A Nigerian national was arrested on Sunday in the city for allegedly duping a woman after promising her a job in the UK.
The accused has been identified as Nokocha Kasmir Ikemba. He contacted a woman about a job opening in the UK through email and even promised her the job after which she transferred Rs 34,07,542 to his account. But he did not get her any job.

The woman registered a complaint against him at the North East Division Cyber Crime police station. The police arrested the Nigerian national and seized six mobile phones, a laptop, a SIM card and a passport. They have registered the case and further investigation is under way.
