BENGALURU: The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the Mangaluru cooker blast case, conducted a spot inspection in Mysuru, Madikeri and Mangaluru along with the accused Mohammed Shariq and returned to Bengaluru.
In Mysuru, the NIA officials visited the house where Shariq was living, the place where he got money and the bus stop from where he boarded a bus to Madikeri.
In Madikeri and Mangaluru, the investigators inspected the place where Shariq changed a bus to Mangaluru, where he got off in Mangaluru, changed his clothes and where he boarded an autorickshaw and the spot where the cooker bomb exploded.
The NIA has been granted custody of Shariq for 10 days from July 25 to August 3. The central agency has also taken anohter accused, Syed Yasin, into custody and is questioning both of them. It is said that Shariq has releaved important information in the case, especially about his handler.
