MANGALURU: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has submitted a 1,500-page detailed chargesheet before the special NIA court in connection with the Praveen Nettaru murder case on Friday.
The chargesheet contains the statements of 240 witnesses and lists 20 persons as accused. The NIA has so far arrested 14 people, with six more on its wanted list.
Earlier, the NIA announced rewards of Rs 5 lakh each on two Popular Front of India (PFI) members wanted in the murder of BJP’s Yuva Morcha leader Praveen Nettaru.
On July 26, three people came on a two-wheeler on the night of July 26 and hacked 32-year-old Nettaru to death outside his chicken shop off the Puttur-Sullia Road at Bellare in Mangaluru.
