BENGALURU: Officials from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) visited the residence of Bharat Bhushan, who was killed in the Pahalgam terror attack, in Bengaluru on Friday and gathered information for several hours.

A team of four officials questioned Bharat’s wife Sujatha about the terror attack including the movements of the terrorists, the number of terrorists involved and their statements during the attack.

The NIA team has already identified 14 terrorists and gathered information by showing their list and photos to Sujatha. They also asked about the type of weapons the terrorists carried and whether they had any conversations with them. They also showed her sketches of suspected terrorists and asked her to identify them.

Sujatha had previously identified one of the terrorists in the sketch and told Public TV that the terrorist in the middle had fired the shot. She had also informed the military about this earlier. The NIA officials asked Sujatha several questions, including when she and her husband visited Kashmir, what time they went, where they were when the terrorists attacked, what language the terrorists spoke and whether they had any distinctive marks on their faces.

The NIA team also showed her sketches of the terrorists and asked if she recognised any of them.

Meanwhile, revenue department officials, including Revenue Inspector Pradeep, visited Bharat Bhushan’s home to gather information and documents, such as account details, Aadhaar card, PAN card, and death certificate, in connection with the government’s announcement of ex-gratia a Rs 10 lakh for the family.
