Sanjay Deepak Rao, a Central Committee Member from the Western Ghats Special Zonal Committee (WGSZC) of the Naxal group, has been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in the supplementary chargesheet filed by the anti-terror agency before the NIA Special Court, Ernakulam, Kerala.
NIA had registered the PLGA Recruitment Case suo moto on February 3, 2022, after it came to light that naxal members and its frontal organisations were conducting camps for the recruitment and training of youth to the proscribed outfit in Kerala.
