The couple’s families had booked flights from Bhubaneswar to Bengaluru and then to Hubballi, but the IndiGo flight was delayed and eventually cancelled. As a result, the bride and groom couldn’t attend their reception. The bride’s parents sat in their place and conducted the reception rituals, while the couple participated online via video conferencing. The event was attended by over 600 guests, who waited for the couple’s arrival.
The bride’s family expressed their disappointment and frustration with IndiGo airlines, stating that they had made all the arrangements for the reception and were left waiting. They demanded action from the central government against the airline. The incident has sparked widespread criticism of IndiGo airlines, with many passengers complaining about flight cancellations and poor customer service.
