BENGALURU: With the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) coming into existence, Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao has decided to change the boards across Bengaluru, ward by ward and area by area. Instead of BBMP boards, the GBA will install signboards with the name of the respective municipal corporations.
The signboards will also feature a QR code that will provide complete information about the area, including its map. The QR code will be affixed to the area signboards, allowing citizens to scan and access the information.
The GBA Chief Commissioner has instructed that the boards should display the name of the ward and area, along with the GBA logo.
This move aims to provide a clear picture of Bengaluru’s areas and wards, making it easier for citizens to navigate the city. The installation of QR codes will also enable citizens to access information about their area, promoting transparency and efficient governance.
