The issue of metro fare revision is currently leading to intense anger and opposition. Some regular commuters have also posted their opinion on the website, where BMRCL sought feedback.
A person named Basavaraj Hiremath, in his feedback, asked to maintain the road under the Metro stations. He wrote, “Roads under Metro stations don’t have storm water drain systems. Please construct SWD. Water will be stagnant for many days after rain… And also, mud will be collected due to rainwater”, he wrote.
Another netizen, Joyce Malik said, “A fare hike is understandable, but there should be a monthly pass or discounts to make it affordable for regular public transport users”.
Another said, Don’t increase the fare … That’s bad .. Prices are already high compared to Delhi Metro and other metros”.
