BENGALURU: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will launch a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of financial assistance for the handloom and power loom weavers under the Nekar Sanman scheme at Krishna, on January 11 at 11:30 am.
An amount of Rs 5,000 will be given to handloom or power loom weavers who are into pre-weaving activities following hardship faced by them, for the year 2022-23 under the Nekar Sanman scheme.
According to the department’s census and survey, so far 1,02,980 weavers/workers have registered their names for financial assistance of Rs 5000 each.
