NEW DELHI: A day after the examinations were held, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday announced cancellation of UGC-NET examination, stating that the integrity of the examination may have been compromised.

The Ministry of Education shared the information in its ‘X’ handle stating that the government is committed to ensuring the sanctity of examinations and protecting the interest of students.
The Ministry of Education has decided that the UGC-NET June 2024 Examination will be cancelled on the basis of inputs from Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, which prima-facie indicated that the integrity of the examination may have been compromised.
Fresh examination shall be conducted, for which information shall be shared separately, the ministry said. Matter being handed over to CBI for thorough investigation in the matter.
