BENGALURU: The Namma Metro’s eighth driverless train for the yellow line has arrived at the Hebbagodi depot. The six-coach train reached the depot on Monday morning, having departed from Kolkata’s Titagarh on January 10.
The yellow line currently has seven metro trains, and the eighth train arrived on Monday. Testing of the new train is set to begin from Tuesday. The yellow line spans 19.15 km from R V Road to Bommansandra, with 16 stations.
Currently, trains run every 10 minutes. With the new train, the frequency is expected to increase to every 8-10 minutes once testing is complete and commercial operations begin.
