BENGALURU: The ‘Namma Clinics’ will be inaugurated in one go by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in Mahalakshmipuram and other BBMP wards on Tuesday (February 7).
In December last year, a total of 114 ‘ Namma Clinics’ were opened, and now all the 438 Namma Clinics are set to begin operating in the state. Each Namma Clinic will have a doctor, a nurse, a lab technician and a Group-D employee. The Namma Clinics will be open from 9 am to 4.30 pm and will be equipped with all the necessary equipment for the treatment.
The clinic will be opened in all the wards of BBMP and in other parts of the state at a cost of Rs 155.77 crore. The Namma Clinics are being established in government and rented buildings that have an area of 1,000–1,200 sqft.
“On February 7, 108 Namma Clinics will be inaugurated in the first phase, with four in each Assembly constituency and, by the month-end, all the other remaining clinics will be functional. All the clinics will have the necessary equipment and staff. The clinic will have a doctor, nurse, lab technician, and all necessary lab tests”, said Dr K V Thrilok Chandra, Special Commissioner (Health and IT).
