The woman claimed that her family has been in possession of the land for three generations.

MANDYA: The Nagamangala town municipal council has been accused of evicting a cow shed belonging to a Hindu family for construction of a road to benefit a different community in the town.

The municipal authorities evicted the shed belonging to Lakshmamma claiming that it had been encroached on rajakaluve land. The woman claimed that the shed was demolished without any prior notice.

However, the municipal authorities are now reportedly constructing a road on the land connecting a Muslim-dominated locality to the main road. It is alleged that the municipal authorities were under political pressure and the family is now seeking justice.
