Mysuru traffic police register 7,663 cases of violations in a single day

MYSURU: The traffic police in the city have registered a whopping 7,336 cases of violations in a single day on Tuesday.

On the direction of Police Commissioner B Ramesh, the traffic police took up a special drive from morning till midnight. They have booked 169 cases for triple riding, 6,660 cases for riding without helmet, 112 cases for driving without registration plates and 22 cases for transporting people in goods vehicles.

The police also detected 33 cases of drunk driving, taking the total number to 7,663 cases of violation of various types.
