Mystery disease killing cattle in Hanur villages, 15 dead in recent days

Over the last few days, cattle have been suddenly dying in different villages of Hanur taluk.

CHAMARAJANAGAR: Cattle have been dying due to a mystery disease in several villages of Hanur taluk in the district. In the last few days, 15 heads of cattle have died, but the cause of death has not been established.

Farmers are worried about the spate of cattle deaths in several village and have demanded that veterinarians investigate the cause of death and provide proper treatment.

In the latest case, a cow belonging to farmer Pasha in Ambikapura village collapsed and died where it was tethered. Such unexplained deaths have occurred at Puduramapura, Naganna Nagara, Ambikapura Medu and other villages.
