SHIVAMOGGA: The District and Sessions Court has sentenced a murder convict to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh.
The convicted is Prakash (45), a resident of Holuru. He had killed Revanappa (51) over a property issue. The incident took place in Sharavati town in 2018, and a case was registered at the Shivamogga Rural police station.
The court convicted him after a trial over five years. If he fails to pay penalty, he will have to undergo two more years of imprisonment.
