HUBBALLI: Following the series of threats issued to Bollywood star Salman Khan, the Mumbai police are conducting searches in Hubballi for the suspect after getting vital clues that he could be hiding in the city.

The Mumbai police have taken the help of the Hubballi-Dharwad police, but so far, no arrests have been made. The latest threat message, received by the Mumbai traffic police control room, said Salman Khan should either apologise to the Bishnoi community for killing a blackbuck or pay up Rs 5 crore to stay alive.

The Mumbai police are yet to establish if the individual who issued the threat is indeed related to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi or is just a prankster.

The Mumbai Police traffic control room received a threatening message in the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi on Monday night over WhatsApp with the message message saying that if Salman Khan wanted to stay alive, “he should go to our temple and apologize or give Rs 5 crore”. “If he does not do so, we will kill him, our gang is still active,” the message claiming to be in the name of Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother said.

This is the second death threat Salman Khan has received in a week. In the earlier death threat, also received by Mumbai Police Traffic Control, a ransom of Rs 2 crore was demanded from the actor. The police had said that the unknown sender has threatened with dire consequences to Salman Khan if the money is not paid to him.
