Mumbai: Case registered against fashion designer Archana Kochhar on complaint by sister-in-law

MUMBAI:  Mumbai police have registered a case against four people including Bollywood celebrity fashion designer Archana Kochhar, following a complaint filed by her sister-in-law Priya Jaitley, police said.

Police have registered a case against Archana Kochhar, Rajeev Kochhar, Simran Kochhar and Nagma under sections 354, 341, 325 and 34 of IPC and started a further investigation, no one has been arrested in this case yet, they added.

According to Juhu Police, Priya Jaitley in her statement to the police said, “on April 28, around 10.30 am, my brother Rajiv Kochhar came to my house in Juhu which our father had given me, he started bringing things to that house.”

“Rajiv told me to leave from here, on which I said that this house is mine, this house has been given to me by my father, after which Rajiv called his wife Archana Kochhar and informed her that he was at my place and asked Archana to send her bouncer Nagma to my house,” she added.

Priya in her complaint further claimed that Nagma assaulted her and threatened her and pulled her hair, not only this, she also started pulling her gown and coverlet, due to this the gown got torn, yet she remained sitting holding the sofa while Nagma thrashed.

Priya further said that after this, “When my watchman Govind came there, Rajiv asked him to leave and locked the door from the inside, then from there I called 112 and asked for police help and when the police came, Rajiv opened the door. Then the police took me to Juhu police station where I complained.” (ANI)
