MUDA gave away 928 sites to 125 people under 50:50 ratio scheme

MYSURU: Days after it was revealed that several people were given more than 20 sites as compensation under the 50:50 ratio scheme by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MIDA), it has now been revealed that 125 people were distributed 928 sites by the civic body.

The 50:50 ratio scheme has come under the scanner after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife B M Parvathi was allotted 14 sites in prime locations in lieu of 3.16 acres of land which was reportedly acquired in Kesare.

Apart from Siddaramaiah’s wife, several of his close associates including Hinkal Rakesh Papanna, Abdul Wahid, Abdul Wajid and the Cathedral Parish Society were allotted more than 30 sites each under the 50:50 ratio scheme.

As per the list, one Mahadev was allotted 34 sites, Papanna 32 sites, Deepu Rajendra 14, Mahendra 19, Parvathi Siddaramaiah 14, Syed Nusrat Afza 31, Nagaraju and Srinivas 26, Chowdaiah 12, M B Srinivas 10, Abdul Wahid 14, N Manjunath (GPA holder) 23, M Ravikumar 23, Dr Sunitabai 12, K P Shivaprasad 25, M S Sarvabhushan 33, P Santosh Kumar 14, L Vivekananda 15, Cathedral Parish Society 48, Chikkannna K N 25, Mahadevaswamy C 10, Bhagya 15, Neelamma 23, Syed Yousuf 21, Shivappa 13, Abdul Wahid 25 and Mallappa 18 sites.

Amidst the controversy, an inquiry committee headed by retired judge P N Desai visited the MUDA office on Tuesday and inspected some files. The committee will also probe the issue of missing files.
