KALABURAGI: A mother-daughter duo has been arrested for stealing a gold chain from a passenger at the central bus stand her. The arrested are Hasina Touhid Sheikh and her daughter Sakina.
The duo had stolen a 40 gm gold chain from Bhimabai Maddithota at the bus stand and escaped. Bhimabai, a resident of Aland taluk, was in Kalaburagi to attend a relative’s wedding. She was heading back home after the wedding when her gold chain was stolen.
The act of the mother-daughter duo was caught on CCTV camera at the bus stand. The Ashoknagar police, who launched an investigation, went through CCTV footage and finally arrested the mother and daughter.
