CHIKKABALLAPUR: On the day after Home Minister G Parameshwara announced the setting up of an anti-communal squad in the communally sensitive Mangaluru, an incident of moral policing has been reported in Chikkaballapur.
In a video which has surfaced on social media, a group of Muslim youths are seen are seen abusing and trying to assault a Hindu youth for being in the company of a Muslim girl. Though they pleaded that they were friends, the group would not budge.
The incident occurred on Tuesday at Mehboob Nagar in Chintamani. The youth hails from Chelur while the girl hails from Chintamani. The incident occurred in the Chintamani Town police limits.
