HASSAN: A monkey, which entered a marriage hall at Hiresave in Channarayapatna taluk on Monday, created havoc and eight people, including five wedding guests, injured.
The injured are Susheelamma, Leelavathi, Ningegowda, Gowramma, Girijamma, Thimmegowda and Gowrigowda. They were treated at the local community health centre.
The monkey also obstructed the wedding rituals by sitting beside the groom. It also entered the dining area, causing panic among the guests. The wedding organisers even served bananas and other sweets to the monkey.
Local said the monkey had been creating trouble in nearby villages and demanded that it should be relocated.
