M’luru blast: One more detained from DJ Halli, taken to Mysuru for probe

BENGALURU: The police have detained one person from DJ Halli in connection with the Mangaluru autorickshaw blast case. Mohammed Ruhullah, a resident of Mysuru, had come to Bengaluru to attend a family function. He was detained and handed over to the Mysuru police.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Bhimashankar Guled said they received a call from the Mangaluru police on Sunday stating that a person of interest was in Bengaluru and that a team of the Mysuru police was arriving in Bengaluru.

“Our team swung into action and detained Ruhullah. During questioning, he said he had come to DJ Halli to attend an engagement ceremony and that he was a resident of Mysuru. Later, the Mysuru police took him away to conduct a search at his house. Our role in this was limited”, the officer said.
