HUBBALLI-DHARWAD: Hubballi-Dharwad MLA Aravind Bellad has written a letter to Police Commissioner Shashi Kumar, expressing concerns about suspicious and unknown individuals, possibly foreigners, roaming around some mosques in the Hubballi-Dharwad city. Bellad has urged the police to investigate the matter.
In the letter, MLA Bellad mentioned that there has been an increase in the movement of unknown individuals in some mosques in the twin cities and they seem to be non-locals. Many of these individuals appear to be new faces, suspicious and possibly foreigners. There are reports that they are residing in slum areas, including Jannat Nagar in Dharwad, the MLA noted.
Bellad has requested the police to take immediate action and investigate the matter, considering it seriously. He has asked the police to interrogate the unknown individuals in the city and take necessary action. “The goal is to prevent any untoward incidents in the city. There is a need for vigilance and proactive measures to ensure public safety in Hubballi-Dharwad”, he noted.
