Miscreants set fire in a classroom of a government school.

HASSAN: Miscreants set fire to a classroom of the government higher primary school at Neechanahalli in Sakleshpur taluk, damaging furniture inside, after they were not allowed to play in the school grounds. They even threw some condoms in the other rooms.

The school authorities and the school development and management committee (SDMC) had recently got the premises fenced so as to keep it clean. This had apparently angered some anti-social elements. After the incident, the school authorities were hesitating to lodge a complaint, fearing the miscreants.

However, after a complaint was lodged, the Sakleshpur police visited the school and have taken up further investigation.
