VIJAYAPURA: A miscreant snatched Rs 2.2 lakh from an elderly person after diverting his attention in front of a bank at Talikote town on Thursday afternoon.
Nagappa, who retired as a second division clerk frm the Basaveshwara High School at Kodaganur village in Talikote taluk, on Thursday withdrew his retirement benefit from the Union Bank branch at Talikote for domestic expenses. When he kept the money in the glove box of his motorcycle, a miscreant diverted his attention, snatched the bag with the money and fled.
In CCTV footage from the bank, the miscreant can be seen stalking Nagappa. The Talikote police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the miscreant.
