MANGALURU: A minor youth has been arrested for placing a mobile phone in the women’s washroom of a private medical college and attempting to film videos. However, police said no videos were recorded on the mobile phone.
The youth had gone to the medical college on May 6 posing as a patient and placed the mobile phone in the women’s washroom. When the phone rang from inside the washroom later, a security guard inspected the place and found the mobile phone. He later lodged a complaint with the Bunder police station.
Upon checking the CCTV footage in the college, the police identified the culprit to be a 17-year-old youth and arrested him. Further investigation is under way.
